it’s the little things you can see
enjoy
bringing only a coin purse to make a purchase
exactly $3.49
the sun peeking in through the windows
the fresh dishes to unload
sitting on a lawn
people watching
no where to go but here
with you
I have a way of making you feel
heard, seen, loved
and there’s a way about me that deserves all the same
lovable, small, excited
wanting to learn, hungry for growth
to a point where you can trust yourself so deeply
if you did it, you made it, you led it
you can bet it was good and true to you
safe, secure physically and financially
a caregiver, careful and detailed
meticulous with groceries
seeking to be better for herself and for others
always
