You need to stumble and find your balance and run and skip and go as far as you want to (or a little further) as lightly and gracefully and proudly and comically as you can (just as your aveage five year old does when she skips) and then walk on your knees only when the position helps you scoot up to something yummy (like when the snacks are out at the picnic and it is easier, rather than standing to knee-knee-knee-knee your way up to the hummus, cheese and wine) or–and this is another time to walk on your knees–after you fall and the best way to laugh about the tumble is to rest, knees together, for a moment, before your sprin one again.…
