The argument here is that a good cup of coffee served by an owner who knows your name is one sign of a decent world.

Can the world ever have enough locally owned bakeries, coffee shops and or cafes serving a brew brewed close by? Can any neighborhood really be vital without at least one of these?

Good bread, good coffee, good beer and an establishment whose captain improves the quality of your day.

Lets scale that–the local, the personal, the store front that serves the spirit of the street.

If the argument is above, we think it costs 60,000 Euros.  You can read more about why, and our plans for the two weeks we expect to be hosting some BCB-ers, here, in Amsterdam.
